Emilico's bread saves the day again. Who would have thought a ration she stashed away could be this useful. Bread is definitely necessary indeed.

I feel sorry for Maryrose x Rosemary. Now they openly rebelled against the Shadow House, there's no way the shadow will let them live. And all they really want was just to continue their shadow master and living doll lifestyle.

Praise bread.

Some breads are increadibly energy dense. Older breads contained much more fat and at times high degrees of nuts or grains that aren't usually used for flour... (for instance oatmeal, which can be grown in places that are ill-suited for wheat or barley and even today it's often used in energy bars) This gives them additional proteins. Personally, I love Peshwarii Naan (an Asian version of the same with raisins, and various nuts and a whole lot of ghee).

That bread did look like it had nuts and grains.

1. I love that they handed over Maryrose to the authorities because in the end, they were criminals who had jeopardized the safety of so many people and because of them, the belles were getting tortured every day. This thing was very realistic.
2. Kate is like a teacher who is praising her top 2 students while her coworker who is an aloof guy is lying down, complaining about being hungry XD
3. The red hair accessories looked so much CUTE on Emilico! While Shaun was rocking the blue outfit! Also, the landing of Shaun and Emilico after John punched the fountain was so smooth UwU

i don't, disposing of maryrose won't make anyone feel better.

Either way, both of them would be "disposed of" since maryrose has small soot emission so the transformation would fail and still, both of them will die one
Thing my sister told me is that one of the belles will die so sadge

The thing is, it's a so or die matter. If they hadn't handed Mary rose over, Kate would've been the one to be disposed. But well, two more episodes remain. Who knows, maybe the Mary rose duo won't be disposed

That's the closest thing we'll get to a "shadowless Kate". I would've liked to hear her voice too so we can get a fully shadowless Kate, but oh well..

I didn't even notice "Kate"'s voice had changed to Emilico's, John and Shaun share the same voice actor so that's easy to be fooled by although I like how the actor voiced him not exactly like John since it's still a bit deeper than Shaun's voice but Emilico's actor really went for a similar voice tone to Kate's.

Lol it was cute to see John using Shaun's thighs as a pillow, he's earned the rest, pulling out two John Punches in one night is a grand feat. It was funny how Shaun was concerned about John overdoing things because he's alone with Kate and will want to look good in front of her, he wasn't wrong lol.

I like how John was emitting soot because Kate gave him half a roll of bread, it was funny how he wanted to save it forever.

I don't want to imagine how much pain Shaun and Emilico were in having soot in their eyes, I liked how you could see the red.

The way Emilico washed her eyes was.... not the best way lol, I could never keep my eyes open like that with water coming into contact XD.

I can barely put water in my eyes with my hands full. And it still closes.

I actually shuddered at that part, I can never keep my eyes open under water nor when using an eye drop, it always closes instantly and having anything in them makes me turn useless, my eyes are super sensitive lol

Oh wow, I didn't even realize until you pointed it out. Somehow I'd just assumed they'd kept Kitou Akari as Emilico in disguise to throw viewers off, but it does appear that it was actually Emilico's VA doing a Kate impression on a second listen. Very cool detail.

Yeah I love hearing these instances to hear how the voice actors imitate and change their voices to match the original.

You can tell most clearly when the Ghost jump on her and she yelps.

I thought of the possibility of all shadows and faces having the same va before I got confirmation here.

I did. But then, I never really check VAs. And thought since they sounded really similar there, maybe there was a possibility.

It was kind of lost in translation with the English subs, but the sound effect there, "pan/pain" is also the Japanese word for "bread," which was borrowed from French. The Chinese subtitles I read when watching the episode on another source actually had the sound effect translated as "bread."

Thought that was a fun little detail.

Would have been funny if the translation were bread instead then. Since eh, it's more funny while watching than reading after watching it imo.

The site I watched really translated that scene Bread! instead of Ta-da! It's funnier that way, TBH.

Oh, the good old bread!! The running scene reminds me a lot of the new cat game that launched XD, although this is better and I don't freak out :p

It's sad that in the end they couldn't figure anything to save both Maryrose and Rosemary T_T, but what a great defeat they had, was not expecting that at all lol.

Great episode again this week. I especially loved the part where Kate, John, Emilico and Shaun bamboozled Maryrose. It even had me fooled!

It's a shame that Maryrose and Rosemary were turned in though. Looking very bad for those 2 rn.

I agree, but I also understand why they turned them in. If they didn't, the star bearers would only grow more impatient with Kate and suspicion around her would grow. Not to mention, if they were caught plotting with Maryrose it'd be all over.

yeah I'm really sad about those 2, and I keep wondering how come Shadows take baths...

The true hero of this battle: bread!

A lot of cute Emilico expressions this episode and she saves the day again. Coming up with plans that Kate is unable to. Happy John got to shine as well, he continues to show his good sides to Kate.

I'm guessing Barbara will not let Rosemary be disposed of since they're most likely old friends. That's the only guess I can make. Can't wait for the next episode though!
